Oxidizing Bactericides: Such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite, and bromine. They have strong oxidizing properties and can kill bacteria, viruses, algae and other microorganisms in water by oxidizing cell components of microorganisms, destroying their cell structures and metabolic systems.
Non-oxidizing Bactericides: Include glutaraldehyde, isothiazolinones, and quaternary ammonium salts. They act on microorganisms by means of chemical reaction or physical adsorption to inhibit the growth and reproduction of microorganisms or directly kill them.
